Why is the price per vehicle?
A private transfer uses one vehicle and one driver for your group, whether two seats are filled or four. Pricing per vehicle makes the cost easy to compare and means that larger groups pay less per head. A family of four travelling from the airport to the Old Town pays €50 in total, not per person.
Group size decides the vehicle:
- Standard car: one to four passengers, each with a suitcase and a cabin bag.
- Minivan: five to eight passengers, or fewer with bulky luggage such as golf bags, bicycles or a pram.
- Premium minivan: a Mercedes-Benz V-Class for up to seven, with leather seats and extra legroom.
What is included in the price?
Everything needed to complete the journey is in the fixed price:
- the vehicle and the driver for the whole route;
- fuel and motorway tolls;
- ferry tickets where the route needs one;
- waiting at borders, however long the queue;
- luggage that fits the booked vehicle;
- child seats and boosters, on request;
- VAT.
There is no charge per kilometre and no surcharge for nights, weekends, public holidays or paying by card.
What could cost extra?
Only things you ask for, and only after we agree them with you:
- Extra stops that are not on your booking, such as a lunch stop on the way to Split.
- Extra waiting beyond the included time at a hotel or home pick-up.
- A change of route on the day, such as an extra destination.
Each one is priced before it happens. Nothing is added to the bill afterwards.
How do Dubrovnik transfer prices compare with a taxi?
For a single journey across town a metered taxi can be cheaper, but on the longer runs most visitors make, a fixed transfer price is competitive. Travel guides put the taxi fare from the airport rank to the Old Town at roughly €35–55 in 2026, and the airport displays the current taxi price list at the taxi information window, while a pre-booked car costs €50 with a driver waiting in the arrivals hall.
Taxi fares in Croatia are about to change. From 1 January 2027, national maximum tariffs apply: a start fee of up to €10.00, €2.50 per kilometre and €0.50 per minute of driving, each 40% higher for vehicles with seven or more passenger seats, according to the decision published in the Official Gazette (Narodne novine). Taxis may still offer fixed prices for common routes, but within those caps. Our page on taxis and private transfers compares the two in detail.
How do return trips and day trips work?
A return transfer costs twice the one-way price. If you want the driver to wait at the destination, for example while you spend a day in Kotor or Mostar, book a car with driver by the hour or day instead; the waiting is then included.
How do I get a price for a route that is not listed?
Send us the pick-up and drop-off addresses, the date, the time and the number of passengers. We reply with a fixed price per vehicle, usually within the hour during office hours. Routes not listed above, such as Zadar, Zagreb or Podgorica, are quoted the same way.
When are these Dubrovnik transfer prices valid?
The prices on this page are our 2026 list. The price in your written confirmation is the one you pay, even if the list changes before you travel. For the most common route, see airport transfers; for cities further away, see private transfers from Dubrovnik.
Questions about transfer prices
Are the prices per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. A car carries one to four passengers and a minivan five to eight, at the same price however many seats are filled. Two people and four people pay the same for a car.
Is there a night surcharge?
No. The price is the same at 03:00 as at noon, and the same on Sundays and public holidays.
What does a return trip cost?
Twice the one-way price. If you want the driver to wait at the destination and bring you back the same day, a car with driver by the hour or day is usually better value.
Is waiting time included?
Yes, within limits. At the airport the first 60 minutes after landing are free; at hotels, homes and the port, 15 minutes are included. Border queues never cost extra.
How do I pay?
You pay the driver at the end of the journey, in euros, in cash or by card. No prepayment is taken for a standard transfer and there is no fee for paying by card.
Will the price go up after I book?
No. The price in your written confirmation is the price you pay. Traffic, a delayed flight or a long border queue do not change it.
